Star Trek… United?

Michael Sussman, writer / producer on Star Treks Enterprise and Voyager, is currently working to get a series set during Romulan/Starfleet war greenlit and he wants Todd to reprise his role as Talok. Calling it Star Trek: United, Sussman also aims to bring back Scott Bakula as Archer, this time as the first President of the Federation.

With Legacy‘s future still uncertain – and certainly not happening while Strange New Worlds is on air, United seems to be the more likely to be picked up. A TV Insider poll saw 97% of fans supporting Archer and United, so it’s definitely a popular choice.

Last seen masquerading as a Vulcan, United would see Talok promoted from major to minister, though of what isn’t clear. His past is murky: he infiltrated the Vulcan military before serving under T’Pol during the Tomed mission, which must have been before 2149 and T’Pol assuming her position at the Vulcan Compound on Earth. Therefore, Talok had lived as a Vulcan for at least five years by the time of the events of “Kir’Shara”.

Given that he had to have been cosplaying a Vulcan for longer – I’d guess ten years if not more – if would be interesting to see how those years impact the character going forward. Has he managed to shake them off? Does he have a conflict of interest that, assuming his being a major player in United, he has to hide?

Knowing Todd’s love of good story meat, I hope that if the show does come to fruition, then Talok is haunted by his past. I want him to be torn between his upbringing and the role he played for a decade, because I know what Todd would bring to the table. And it would be awesome.

In short, I would far rather see Todd on United as Talok than on Legacy as a holographic Shaw.

Warp 2

Todd is set to appear at Starfury’s Warp 2 – their second Star Trek themed convention.

It will be at the Renaissance Hotel, Heathrow, London over 8th – 10th May 2026. Standard and Gold tickets are available now, as are photo op tickets.

There will be a discount code for the hotel.

Todd to headline “Invader”

I love Todd’s announcements. He dropped the poster for this movie in his reels, no explanation given. Cheers for that, Stashwick.

Anyway, “Invader” is a horror/thriller of which the premise reads: A Christmas family gathering becomes a fight for survival when Diane’s family is stalked by her vengeful ex-husband, released after 20 years and determined to destroy them.

Currently in pre-production, it’s written by Tommy Walker and directed by Mike Caron, with Todd headlining – I presume as the murderous ex – alongside Amy Acker and the Doug Jones.

Cos nothing says “Christmas” like blood and death, lmao.

A Reaping in the Shade

We’re in the countdown to the next charity D&D game! Set again in Todd’s Land of Theer, the fourth episode of The Legends of Eleanora is titled “A Reaping in the Shade” and will run on 9th November!

Playing this time are Terry Matalas (wizard), Jeri Ryan (fighter), Eugene Cordero, and Melissa Navia.

Rather than have two seats available for purchase, Todd is running a sweepstake which makes things a little fairer. There are several price points, depending on how many tickets you buy, and there are added incentives. Not that we need them, right?

Check out the sweepstakes page at Pablove!

A Reaping in the Shade will take place live on MiniTerrainDomain from 5 PDT / 8 EDT / 1 GMT, with the recording being available later on YouTube. The usual shenanigans will be available; you’ll be able to donate rerolls, critical saves, and so on during the game. There’ll also be other incentives to bid on – I’m sending over crocheted crows, and I know there are other handmade items going in.

Todd IS Paladin!

After months of speculation, Terry Matalas and Todd appeared on stage at STLV yesterday and confirmed that Todd is playing Paladin in the new VISION series.

Paladin was introduced in Daredevil #150 as a morally-grey, mercenary and private investigator, as likely to fight as aid Marvel’s superheroes. So, Deacon in purple Lycra, essentially.

New Vision Series Casting

On the 31st of May, LRM Online reported that James D’Arcy is reprising his Agent Carter role of Jarvis, though it seems to be unclear if this is the human version or the AI one.

They also reported that Todd’s assassin character is [inappropriately] named “Paladin”. His role in the show hasn’t changed and he’s still the bad guy. Or at least, he’s after Vision for the android’s tech for undoubtedly nefarious reasons. Seven of Nine would like a word.

And then on the 6th of June, Deadline reported that Todd’s fellow 12 Monkeys cast mate Emily Hampshire has joined the Marvel Vision series, making it quite the reunion (given that Vision’s showrunner is Terry Matalas).

Emily is believed to be playing the sophisticated artificial intelligence E.D.I.T.H. (Even Dead, I’m The Hero), the augmented reality security and defence system created by Tony Stark and bequeathed to Peter Parker following Stark’s death.

The series’ official title still hasn’t been announced, but Todd said at EM-Con that it isn’t called Vision Quest. Given that would be cultural appropriation and icky, I’m very glad!
